Moe wasn't even 20 years old when he signed on to play for the Bronx team in the MBL. A good defender and team leader, Frankel played basketball professionally through 1947, with most of his time spent in the ABL. He filled in as head coach for a handful of games with Wilmington and Paterson.

He is not related to another pro hoopster from the era, Nat Frankel.
